Updates from Punggol forum!

Thank God for insider information!

Helpful neighbours somehow managed to stroll in to take a lot of nice closeup pictures! Thank God for them and hope they will always be safe so we can get more inside info.. hehehee.

I just checked our estimated completion date and it's March 2013. It's usually +/- a year earlier which means we may get it next March - June? Woot! Looking forward! Which means we gotta save even harder now!

:)

Ok enough talk, pictures time!

This is so exciting!

Corridor leading to the units. Concrete lourves to provide some privacy to some units which are along the corridor.

Main gate. It's kinda cute :) Quite welcoming don't you think?

View from inside the unit. This is the layout for the 4 room flat. According to the plan, the width for our 5 room should be twice this. (Please better be so! Otherwise the area next to the door won't be enough for all my, I mean, our shoes.)

Main door.

Layout for the 5 room flat living room. What a narrow balcony. Smelly will not be pleased to know he can only put a stool there. And I am pleased to know that my 'balcony' looks wider than his. Wahaha. Don;t know if there's enough space at the back for a home office a not.

View from the living room area looking towards the kitchen. This is the 4 room layout I think. The kitchen for the 5 room flat will have the wall extended further outwards until it is flushed with the bomb shelter methinks? (Additional small square area? No prawn, fish also good.)

Corridor leading to the rooms and the toilet/bomb shelter. So the corner that cuts left after the bomb shelter should extend outwards for our flat. (encloses the kitchen)

Where I will sun Smelly's underwear in the future and where I will have my afternoon tea next time while Smelly chills in HIS balcony. :(

Entrance to my 'balcony'.

Modern day tekko. Where I will air dry more of Smelly's underwear when no one is home. Actually come to think of it, it's damn ley chey ya? If we don't use hanger, we gotta transfer piece buy piece from rack to tekko. omgz. But good thing is, I don't have to balance the tekko (and my weak arms supporting the tekko) when I sun them. My biggest nightmare is actually to be thrown over the ledge. So thank God for this.

View from the kitchen towards my 'balcony'. I think this is the 4 room layout. I think the 4 roomers must be very disappointed with the space. You will barely have space to walk after you install the cabinets :( Ours should have another 1/3 or 1/4 more width(maybe 2 more tile width?). And also another extension at the other end, such that the kitchen is enclosed all the way, flushed with the space next to the bomb shelter. Not much bigger but I guess when it's going to be this narrow, any extra is better than nothing. Think we cannot become fat. Otherwise how to squeeze here. :(

Not sure where this space fits in in the lay out. But then again, better more than less. Haiz. Is this is for the fridge, I think we need to buy those 2 door (side by side ones). And perhaps we can consider getting those over and microwave to be fixed here as well such that it's flushed to the white wall? Hmmmm...

Layout of our flat.

Layout of a 4 room flat.

Looking at part of the end product. I am very very glad that we decided to go for a 5 room flat instead. Never liked moving and as the both of us have rather stable (lazy) personalities, who tends to be deeply rooted in our comfort zone, a 4 room flat would probably be too small for us to raise a family + a dog. Smelly loves to cook and I don't think he would be very pleased cooking in a kitchen that tiny, so I am glad we went ahead with more space!

Can't wait for our house to come! Then we can start building our home together! :)
