22 May 2010

Lots of activity going on there as the diligent workers put in their best to build us strong foundations!

There are many things in life that makes me happy. But this has got to be top 5 in my list. :)

Actually we have driven past our future home like prolly a million times. But it always involve only a glance. I guess I should really take the effort to take more pictures and see how they transform our neighbourhood as time goes, yes? It's much more exciting this way.

So Baby, shall we make a detour this weekend with the camera, pretty please? :D

Workers putting up the hoarding to demarcate our future neighbourhood!

Machines and the people hard at work building strong foundations to our home!

The path that we will see so often whenever we look down in the future.

Our home, is somewhere behind this beautiful hoarding, earnestly being built up... :)

Models of the estate, floor plans and finishes!

Site recce! - 6 October 2009

Did a site recce today! Location is a dream come true! Probably around 5 mins walk from my block to the train station? Yippee! But I guess that means no more excuse for Smelly to pick me up from the train station in the future. I can totally hear him saying "It's faster if you walk Baby!" But its ok, I will get him to meet me at the mall(I am assuming they will most definitely build a mall next to our house next time. Wahahaha) so that we can hold hands and walk back home together :)

Step 1: Orientate yourself to the surroundings.

Step 2: Gauge the proximity to the train station.

Step 3: Spy on my navigator.

Step 4: Take a deep breath and hope 3 years fly along with that 5 seconds.

13 December 2009

Little demarcations are up and the cranes are starting to fill the beautiful plot of land beneath the beautiful cloudy skies. This is where we are going to call home in 3 years!! *excitement*

Decided to start a blog to track the progress of our home in Punggol. Nothing fanciful, just loads of pictures!

HDB showflat! - 5 August 2009

Visited the showflat at HDB hub some time ago after we submitted the application. It's the first time we have been there and the trip there definitely had our excitement soaring to the limit! It's like playing jia jia jiu, except this time, it's for real!

The show model for their 5 room flats. I like the layout. No odd corners, just good ole' rectangular/square layout. Has a nice space to either expand the living room area, or enclosed to become a nice entertainment/home office/study/Hao's room. (Yes yes we love our friend so much that we even have in mind a space for him should he decide to bunk over haha)

Dining area/Living room area. I like the concept! Would definitely want mirrors to create a sense of enlarged spaces!

The little study area behind the living room.

The nice corridor that connects to the rooms and WC. I can imagine hanging nice family portraits on those walls.. Hmmm :)

The kitchen is very small though. Not sure how our own home's kitchen will turn out but this is a nice square area. Doubt our's will be like this though.

The guest bedroom. Quite small but can imagine it as a cosy bedroom for the little ones :)

Master bedroom. I love the look and feel of this bedroom! Very chic and cosy!

Service yard. Nice and big. Can chuck the washing machine there together with some storage for those misc stuff..
